Nadal and Federer - Australian Open

Australian Open

The number 1 and 2 of the men's ATP tour are definitely what makes men's tennis so exciting. Nevermind that outside Roland Garros Nadal can't barely make his mark in the other grandslams. Nevermind that Federer is always in a comfortable lead in the rankings. These two talented players play with so much dedication and passion, watching them play is electric! What's even more exciting is the competition these two will be facing in this year's Australian Open!

But first a look at the top 2 ranked players in the Men's tour:

And how do their Australian Open runs compare?

Unfortunately for Nadal, down under has never been good to him. Missing out on 2006 and his best showing being a quarterfinal! Nadal can hit the ball fast, but for some reason he doesn't find that angles Federer finds to outstretch his opponent.

Another favourite in the Top 10 is Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic:

Personally, I think Federer will win. It will take a lot more than the extraordinary unusual effort of any top ten player, especially now that David Nalbandian might or is out!

Here are some youtube clips of some of them and the first shows how Federer and Roddick play on the Australian Open surface(although this year they changed the surface, supposedly the same but with less heat retention, and of course from green to blue!)
