Federer Express Lost Steam!!!!

This has got to be the saddest day for any Federer Fan. If Tsonga's win over Nadal was the saddest for Nadal fans, what happens if you r a fan of both? It's armageddon!

I guess we all saw it coming. Federer came in just recovering from a stomach bug and quite honestly I've never seen Federer so thin or to put it frankly - he doesn't look his best.

His lost stops his 10 consecutive and record breaking Final appearances in Grandslams. He has also appeared consecutively in 15 straight SFs or better in Grandslam competitions. Thats early 4 years... and also 4 years of consecutively being ranked no.1 week-in week-out. Its just a pity this sickness had to be so close to the Australian Open.

I think He'll do a Hingis ala-year 2000, and win a slew of titles for revenge. Federer is great, and could be among the Top 3 Greatest of all Times. But I don't want to see his reign end this year or next year.... somebody has to topple Graf at 302 weeks no.1 and of course, Pete Sampras' 14 GS titles and the French... if anything Federer has to win the French.

And who defeated the no.1 player in the world? 20-year old Novak Djokovic and his fans and family. The crowd was decidely Federer and beside the creepy scary stares from the Novak Camp to Swiss supporters, the stadium was quiet, odd, weird, decidely stressed.

Novak Djokovic is a hugely talented player. This is his second consecutive Grandslam final - the US Open being his last, losing to Federer. Things are definitely looking up for this rising star. At Rank 3 he is definitely eyeing to take over Nadal - who can only do real damage in clay. like Novak, but as long as the Legend Federer is playing he will always be my number one! Besides, I like the humble quietness of Federer, that opposite weirdness doesn't suit men's game.
